That will work, i used to run 2 foggers coming thru the aluminum access covers. But ive seen some just spray in the ram air tubes. I feel the ram air covers provide less of a hit though. I think the closer you get to the slienoid the better. good luck.

im going to be hitting mine with a 40-60 depending on what i can get away with at the track, with out spinning or wheeling, smoother is faster, ill be using a window switch and a progressive i will also be running one of gsx1300 spray bars im hoping the motor will last all next season with a setup like that it will also have a good dyno tune on it

be very careful you have even distribution with a dry kit. run the correct AFR. pull timing if needed.
the reason you "need" valve springs with nitrous is due to the bangs you can get on shifts. if you have a lot of kill time or run coil kill with a wet kit ect it can make the pop into a big bang. which opens the ex valve at the wrong time if you dont have a stiff spring. valve hits piston, you know the rest....

so i use the muzzy kit and is fuel kill, needless to say it never pop's. Does this mean springs wont make it any safer??

in an over rev situation it would. its much easier to miss a shift when spraying a big shot. (I would know )

Get yourself a TPRS 002 or the like as a window switch... it will not allow the nitrous below certain rpm, or above.... good idea to stay out of nitrous when bouncing the rev limiter!
I might have new one for sale... contemplating using it to kill fuel or electric servo to blow off on the turbo at before redline... need more info...
I might not need it with the new software on the ams 1000 ....

Hey vespa I run the tprs and a two knob controller with the Muzzys 50 dry shot. Very economical and very predictable. I bracket race most of the time and the bike is about as consistant on the spray as it is on. I have been spraying for over two years and have never had to touch the springs. You go any bigger than 50 you need to pull timing, also, you need to keep the motor off of the rev-limiter, this is where a lot of guys get themselves in trouble. The bike runs 8.70's with a mild ramp, bring the nitrous on at 22% at wide open throttle and ramp to 100% over 1.5 seconds. This is on pump gas (premium) when I spray, air filter in, and a TRE, -1 in front. The only wrenching I do is changing the bottles, I really like the set-up.

wow....... pump gas, 50 shot, and no timing...... sounds like the recipe for a gernade. I'm glad to hear you've had such success and reliability with that combo!!!

I ran about 30 lbs of nitrous through mine without the springs or pulling timing too.
I did notice #1 cyl was getting lean when on the bottle, so I went down one jet (40HP) and all was good.
I was at sea level at the time, and adding 20% more fuel with the dry shot and I think the fuel injector duty cycle was dangerous with the 50- shot, flooding cyl 2-3 and leaned out #1.
The plug had a few specs of aluminum on it when I checked it with a magnifier, so I turned it down

yup.
Some say its good for 50+ plus HP dry shot, but I wouldn't trust that without bigger injectors, or more fuel pressure and individual nozzles for each cylinder.
I do know that the stock injectors at 100 psi are limited to about 320 HP... on turbo applications.
Have heard and spoke with a few who have found out the hard way...

Lyle is wright when he says 40 is close to the limit. We have done alot of testing with nos on the 14's and with a dry spraybar set up you will be pushing the dutycycle dangerously high with cell numbers above 20's with stk fuel psi. If you mod the reg,you can lower your fuel cells about 10-15 points or more, but you will have to retune. The sweet spot seems to be 53lbs static fuel psi...............Bill
