Better get a speedohealer if you gear 16/43 top end is limited much more.
186mph minus 16% is 156mph top speed.

I have a speedo healer for my 16/43......and that is why the gear indicator does not work properly(good thing I have it locked in N anyway). I've set mine to factory error because I want the ODO to be correct - can't have both.

I'm running the 16/43 but think I am going to change it. The bike is so frigging fast with that gearing that I am riding it like a squid. I will either have to slow it down or maybe buy a slower bike, like a Hayabusa.

I love my 16/43............and even w/ the turbo it is ok - smoke on demand.........
I also hate to slip the clutch so gearing helps me not have to.

Today I changed back to the stock 41 tooth rear sprocket to keep from killing myself. Cant say I like it better but its safer to ride at full throttle. Also installed the sport touring screen I purchased from another member (Bawls...thank you sir). It really makes a big difference in the amount of air coming at me. Great for winter riding here. At first I didnt think it made much difference but soon realized I was riding 30 MPH faster than normal due to the lack of airblast. At 60 MPH there is literally no air on me except a little on the helmet and the outside of my arms...amazing !!! Only 46 here today but tomorrow is going to be in the sixties and I am going to put on some miles.

Glad that It was of some use to you. Be safe out there and don't go to jail... wouldn't be the first time someone did with that windscreen on their bike lol.

Yes, it will reduce you top speed because the speedo already reads a little high. You can always grind of one side of the countershaft nut as I did. The speedometer definitely reads lower with this (free) mod.

Would you please describe in detail how to grind one side of the countershaft nut ? Thanks !
