On topic now: Is there a reason that the calipers are mounted behind the fork leg instead of in front of it? Or for that matter, on the rim mounted brakes could you just attach the caliper to the fork adjacent to the rotor instead of the big mounts coming all the way out from the hub area? Might be able to save enough weight that way to justify installing dual rotors so that it would have the required stopping power for the race track.

I've seen a few bike-show bikes (choppers and one sport bike) that had the Buell style setup on them, and it actually did look very cool. Just would hate to have to spend thousands of dollars to buy lighter rims just to offset the extra weight of a dual rim rotor setup.
