Anything in the low 4.0's means you are really riding the bike well.
If you had been running MR9 or MR11, you would have run 9.26-9.28 at around 152 with the Maxton map.
Great job!

I try to leave at 3500 but as soon as the light turns Im feeding in a lot more throttle than I think I need to. And I am trying to shift right at 11k. I have the stock shift light set at 11k and see it come on right as Im shifting.
What has been working for you?

Setting the RPMs at 4500-5000 upon launch and shifting at 11000.
I tend to throw the clutch to get the bike moving and roll into the throttle.
Snap N Slide although there is not much sliding with the way my clutch is setup.

Are you getting a quicker ET by shortshifting the bike? 11k indicated is closer to 10600 actual rpm. I usually shift at close to 11400 indicated.

What is this, Shane? Johnny said my peak was at 10.7 or 10.8, where I have my shift light. Are you saying all the tachs are wrong? How would I know, other than seat of pants?

smoke, take your 14 through the gears and you'll see that it hits the limiter a hair past redline...most bikes are like that, some more than others!!!

Shane I have tried taking it past 11k but the bike doesn't seem to be pulling any stronger past that point. Anyone know what Brock recommends to shift at?

Well, I'm not sure. It seems that when I shift it short it costs me mph. Even without building power, there is a lot of torque multiplication from the gearing. Then again, I run a lot of gear and the acceleration does not seem to taper much above 11k.

Thanks CR, I'll keep an eye on that. Johnny's dyno showed a sharp drop in power after 10.8, so he recommended me shift there. I'll do a little "testing" around and see if I may be short shifting a little.
