Cheater/stealth swing arm anyone?

I contacted Coby Adams today to see if they make a 2" over stock modded swingarm. But they only make one for the busa, and didnt know if there was much interest in making one. So if anyone is interested in one post up here and I will refer them to this post. I have seen on on a 1st gen busa and you almost couldnt tell that it was even longer than stock, it just made the bike look right. Right now at stock wb and slammed out the bike looks as if it has been rearended by a large truck. I dont want a huge arm either because I still need the bike to hook on the street and not look too crazy to onlookers

Hopefully at 60" I could get really close to a 9.0. I know as soon as we get some really good air around here the bike will run a 9.30 as it sits.

Or let me know if anyone does make a modded stock arm like this.

thanks

I'm sitting at 60" with a 3" over arm on it ,and picked up .2 and it is great in the street
and minimal chance of wheel spin while the long bikes blow the tire away.

I'd never change it back, had it 64" and stk length, and am very happy right here.

Hey halvefast, it looks like your a bigger boy like me. Not sure what your weight is but Im close to 225 suited. What gearing are you running? Im at stock now. And if I stay at stock length and foot shifting I was thinking of trying 1 down on the rear which would give me a little more time for the 1-2 shift. Im sure the clutch wont like it much.

No reason to do that and waste $$$...Everyone will still know you have added to the arm!!!

Either stay with stock arm and put a DRZ chain on so it goes to the end of the adjusters which will be 60inches or just get an arm!!!

Most guys tell you I have a stock arm, but have motor work, hidden 40 shot nitrous, lock up clutch, whatever they can think of and say its stock...

Im not sure how you are getting to 60" with the stock arm? No matter how long your chain is your not going to get close to 60", more like a hair over 58".

Racer- I'm 235 in shorts gearing is 17-43 I like it to load the motor a little makes it
a little less wheelie prone, it's better for more consistant passes.
I'm still on stk plates 10K miles over 800 passes, but have replaced
maybe 3 fibers and 4 steels in that time. I do regular maintenance on the clutch.

CrotchRocket- I totally understand what you are saying. I don't try to hide the stretch,
it just works best for me. The Connie is 60" long and still handles well so I went with that
as a good number. I drag race quite alot, but still like to ride the Hill country.
We race year round and the winter months traction is sometimes hard to find.
At 64" with extensions it would some times spin and on the street it really sucked
in the twisties. My bike is no one trick pony I use it as a daily driver, LSR, and my dragbike,
it even works pretty well as a tourer with all my luggage on it.

it would be very easy to make a fixed length arm appear seamless...
60 in on a stock arm???
its pretty easy to spot a lock up(you cant hide the spacer), and you can usually tell if a guy has motor work or nitrous by the mph....

After some calling around today it looks like macintosh is the only place that will do a fixed length swingarm and keep the stock ends. Spencer cycle only offers 3-9" and 6-12" and coby adams offers 0-6, 3-9 and 6-12

thanks for the replies
