Good clutch hand!!
I know my bike is 69", but this past Friday, a cold front swept through, and the density altitude was negative 1500 ft. Using 87 Chevron pump gas, I was cutting 1.33 60 foots every pass and went 8.83, my quickest ever on pump gas. I know thats off the subject, but just to show that good air helps your 60 foot times too.
Your wheelbase is kinda short. Its going to be hard to get into the 1.3's. How much do you weigh? Another thing is that you need the right suspension set-up too.

I can get mid 1.3s at 62.5" but I only weigh 175 lbs. I leave at 3000 rpms and get the clutch out quick as I can. There's a fine line between wheelying and tire spin but only seat time will take care of that.

No weight added but 4" added to the wheelbase and lowering helps dramatically.

That's right guys, sent a stock shock to Adam's Performance (Litz). In the box, include a note with your wheelbase, rider weight (suited up), and your bikes HP.
I had them re-valve, re-spring, and shorten it by 1".
They set it up according to the information you provide. It is your decision if you want to re-spring it or not.
I had to make one very small adjustment when it came in. It was a little too tight, so according to Coby, I had to loosen 1 round on the compression screw and loosen 1 round on the rebound screw. That was it, and I haven't touched it since. Now it is very rigid feeling (when riding slowly), but it is designed for drag racing. Check out these before and after pictures of how high I used to have to keep my subframe so that the tail wouldn't bottom out when I launch....compared to now how low I can drop the subframe because the bikes doesn't squat nearly as much, and it works so much better now....

And here's a launch with the new shock, see how it barely squats....

I have a Litz shock and spring. How did you determine that the shock was too tight? Mine is so stiff anyway from using the Adams straight link, I dont know what is too tight. I spun at the track last week, but I'm not sure if it was due to shock setup, too much tire pressure, track temp or track prep.
also, does it affect the shock if I lower the rear more on my bike?

Well, I installed it, and theres a few small bumps on the track, that normally I wouldn't feel, but with the shock so tight, the bike was coming off of the ground everytime it hit a bump. So I called Coby, and he told me to loosen it just a bit. And then it worked perfectly.
No it doesn't affect the shock if you lower the rear more.

Hey Pat, Im sending my shock to Coby to get revalved sometime this winter. how much would you say having it shortened at the same time helped? is it basically for ground clearance? much added to the cost? I was asking him about it last week and he didnt mention getting it shortened, and said a respring usually wasnt needed after revalving. comparing a 12R to a 14, but should be pretty much the same idea imo
thx

I shortened it to work in conjunction with the Adam's straightlink, which is basically for ground clearance. Not sure about the price, I don't think it was any more.

These 60ft times are so interesting. A racing buddy jumped on my stock wheelbase bike and this is what it looked like between us:
mine his
reaction .0298 .4374
60ft 1.74 1.77
330ft 4.62 4.44
1/8 6.85 6.56
1/8mph 110.01 116.58
1/4 10.39 9.94
1/4mph 137.20 144.93
Good luck Kimski, hope you get that low 1.4.
