Okay - another question
Again...since I'm a bike newbie...
What is the dynojet ignition module used for and is it worth it?

It's used to advance or retard the ignition timing. I would say that unless you are using nitrous oxide, you really don't need it.

Shane661 knows his stuff Luuk, so I'd take his advice that you don't need it.

Thanks,
Stock is 17/41, knowing that, I would guess there's not going to be much of a difference at all since you're almost creating a state of equilibrium in relation to the stock set-up being that you're dropping in the rear too. It would be different, but hardly a change at all. I'd just stick with the stock 41rear if you want to drop to a 16 front. Just my $.02
16/40 would still be lower than stock. -1 in the front is the same as +3 in the rear. I would say that if you're having to shift just before the traps it would help because you could stretch it out a little longer without shifting

So with all of that said... I need to purchase the 16/43 sprockets and the speedohealer...
Any recommendations on where to buy from?

I know some of you said get the rubberized piece of the front sprocket - hence why I'm asking for advice before I order...
What do you think Shane? What should I get and where do I order?
Thanks!

The front sprocket is Kawasaki Part # 13144-1317. It has the rubber material already on it.
You can order it from any Kawasaki dealership, or http://www.ronayers.com.
For the Speedohealer and rear sprocket, try http://www.schnitzracing.com.
Hope this helps.

I've never tried it...but seems like some here have?
On thing for sure, that is a lot of gear for stock wheelbase!

I found the front sprocket on the site you linked (thanks btw), but all I can find is Vortex Rear sprockets on the Schnitz Racing site.
Should I get a Driven sprocket because it's steel? My understanding thus far is that Aluminum isn't that great for most street riders?
Like this?

Or what do you think?

Get the Driven rear 43T sprocket directly from their website, it's about $25 less than kneedraggers. And once more, steel sprockets are preferred over aluminum for sure.

I understand, that's why I made sure I typed "almost", which I bolded and underlined now in this post to reduce any confusion in my post.
I think it's more like 2.5 to the rear or close to that with every drop in the front. With him dropping the rear 1 too, it would be close to a 1.5 raise in the rear as an equivilency to keeping a 17 front. 16/40 will be more close to a 17/42.5

Since Brock said he ran his best 1/4 mile time with 17/40 (2.35) I thought I would try a little more gear with 16/40 (2.50). If 16/40 isn't enough gear I will go with 16/42 on the stock wheelbase. My front and rear are lowered 1.25" so hopefully minimal wheelies.
Thanks guys!

I am correct in assuming a speedo healer is NOT required if you only change the rear sprocket...lets say 17/43 which is 2.53. A little more than stock (2.41) but not as much as the 16/43 at 2.69. Further will that combo (17/43) work with the stock chain?

Maybe if you're not running stock pipes lol. 16/43's a shinko on a 12 wheel, and a drag seat are my next mods.
