Powerlet plug ??

I was going to hook up a 'pig tail' for my ZX14 to charge the battery during periods when it can't be ridden.

But, I may want to run a heated vest or a detector .... and maybe I should run a Powerlet outlet from just in front of the passenger's foot peg. It would look better and perhaps would be better all 'round.

Anyone hook up a Powerlet outlet? How difficult is it to do?

TIA

I have 1 dual 12v under the seat .. I ran al of my toys from a brown wire off the main harness from the front. got a guy at my kawi dealer to look up the wire ... it's only on with the bike .. and runs phone, gps, 12v, headsets, etc. so on with key off otherwise... works great And is part of the bike ... those installs looked friggin brutal !!

It's really very easy. My bike has 2 powerlets. My bike is the one on their website.

I have an unswitched "pigtail" under my seat and one switched powerlet outlet on my right duct cover. They are both hard wired to my battery and fused. not hard to do. Here are some pics below of the one on my duct cover. I may opt to get another duct cover and redo it because I have a hard time plugging in larger items. The duct cover needs to be replaced anyhow because the tab at the very top was broken off before I bought the bike. I can go lock to lock and it doesn't interfere with anything.
