NOW YOU DON'T!!!

Can I say I am in love with my new Eclipse Kit. A flick of a switch and my plate is hidden.

That's great for toll booths on the NJ Turnpike, Garden State Pkwy, PA bridges, and the most expensive toll bridge in the United States - The Verrazano Narrows Bridge in Brooklyn, NY, red light camera's and running from the Police!!!

But won't you feel bad cheating Congress and your state out of much needed revenue after your Congressman and Senators have done so much to keep your country and state safe and financially sound?

This is very true. In a short time this unit will pay for itself. I tear the turnpike and GSP up alot with my club. Most of them have cabinet hinges on their plate which must be flipped by someone near you before going into the toll lane. I wanted peace of mind knowing that I can go through without anyone's help. The Eclipse was it. A trip to southern Maryland can cost upwards of about 18 dollars or so. My Eclipse will pay for itself in one season.

To my knowledge, there are no more change tolls except for maybe the A.C.E. going into Atlantic City in New Jersey. All pretty much barless tolls. Certain parts of NY there is no getting around paying because of the bars.

If the police are on here doing reconnaissance over some misc toll running then we all need rethink what we say on here and cops would have WAY TOO MUCH time on their hands. Besides, I've posted what I COULD do. Never said anything on this board on what I HAVE done. There's a difference. As long as my bike is clean (which it is) I'm fine. Besides, I have cops in my club and cops around me on a regular basis and trust me, my plate is the LEAST of their concerns. The day the Eclipse Police knock on my door is the day I will revamp my thoughts on motorcycling in this country. Until then, I will be tearing up the highway like most of you on here. Thanks for the concern though, lol.

Hey, Toolman.
You may have let the cat out of the bag there - and maybe we can both be rich!
So just between the two of us.
Don't welders helmets have to react 'pretty damn' fast to a high intensity light source?
Well, what would happen if you put a welders visor (with the electronics and battery), over a licence plate and then when a Speed Camera or Red Light Camera flashes you - won't it automatically darken once it 'detects' a flash
I mean, it's gotta be that quick a reaction to save a humans eyes right? You can even set the intensity level anyway on the higher models, so adjustment is there.
Even more so, why not buy a welders helmet with such features, remove the lens assembly and with a bit of 'investigative' work, get a switch wired up to activate the 'blank out' manualy?
Humm, methinks a patent is forthcoming... No one reply, while i email my solicitor.....
I can see my new boat, right now......

Can you share with us how this is done?
does the glass turns black or is there a moving black screen inside the frame which covers the license plate???
i wonder if it's really the glass itself turning black???

yay for washington and no tolls! (that is except for the narrows bridge)
Instead we get to pay high taxes and never realize we are paying for roads yet (but I'd rather it be that way). Ignorance is bliss as they say....

I was wondering if it's really this smart window / switchable glass or it's a black screen on a roller inside this mechanism, when the power is on, the roller like curtins goes up and down to cover the license plate... ??
from the dimension of the kit, i doubt it's the real switchable glass...
