best place in Florida to ride?
i was thinking of heading down to Fl for a couple weeks this winter, does anyone know of the best place for riding there? i used to live in St. Augustine, so i'm a little familar. i was thinking south beach, or if i can make myself wait, maybe bike week.
any suggestions for riding in FL?

lots of good riding, whether you want curvy roads or scenery, i like the roads off 52 near san antonio and brooksville. its nice along the nature coast from 50 to aripeka. there are some good country roads south of the skyway off 75 to the east. 41 south through the everglades is beautiful. just a few ideas. the beaches are nice but can have lots of traffic and slow speeds, plus you can run off the road looking at the scenery

what kind of riding are you looking for? my favorite riding in FL has been Daytona Speedway, Homestead Miami, and JenningsGP. Only street twisties I have found are north FL.
Southbeach/Keys/Beaches I guess you're just riding because its warm here and you like profiling in front of all the wiminz enjoying winter warmth.

South Beach Blows to just go riding..... But if you plan on spending a saturday night out there and staying somewhat close to the bike then do it...Be careful real careful with the outta states plates. People feed on shit like that.

I4 to 44W, out of Deland on 44W then to 42W (there's a stoplight there) to OBT (441). Go left and stop at Spanish Mills for some R&R (no drinking!). Run down OBT (441). Bunch of bike shops or left on 44E for the run back to Deland (or you can carry on to 46E - you can run into Mt Dora from there too).

head south out of pinellas on 275 over the skyway bridge get on 75 south exit east on 70 this is a long country road with beautiful pastures and some wide open space. the bulldog saloon is out there before you get to 17 if you need to stop. go north on 17 until you get to 64 and head back west. bradenton motorsports dragstrip is on 64 but there are some great straightaways and charlottes web, a little honky tonk in the orange groves that had some drinks, barbeque and a live band. 64 takes you back to 75 where i head back over the skyway towards home. by the way it was a good saturday

Best place in FLORIDA to ride is probably the freeway heading OUT of Florida.
Florida bike laws are NAZI laws. They're too rough on bikers down there.

East Clermont on 50 still has some good roads, around Bushnell is nice, Apopka definatly is some good twisties... well for Florida.
