2009 Special Edition

Pictures *ahem* borrowed from an ebay listing. This is my favorite paint scheme for the 09, and while I think it is hot now, I'm not sure how long the love would last (compared to my exquisite silver 08 which will look the business forever).

Really? I normally don't care for these types of color schemes... and normally I would agree with you... but something about the set up does grab me. I would have to see it in person... but in pictures I like it a lot. I also like that the bottom plastic is not flat black. I think that it has a custom look to it and that was their goal. Not as much midlife crisis but trying to hit the 'fad' or 'in' custom look.. and I think they did well. It kind of has the Roarin Toyz look to it.. (Without all of the bling and extensions etc...) What will they do next year??!! Hard to top this year in colors...

The orange needs to be lowered and stretched. Its one of those colors that doesnt necessarily look good in stock form. The green is also a good looking bike, but like mcair, I like the silver. I dont think it will ever grow old like some trendy colors. I was leaning at getting an 08' busa but didnt like the colors offered.

My nephew told me about an 09 SE that just arrived at my local dealer. He was really excited about it so I went over and looked at yesterday. My opinion is: I immediately named it the Great Pumpkin. The scheme is not for me but colors do usually look better out in the sun than on the showroom. The ostrich seat looks cheap and lame to me. The chrome decals do not go with the orange and black SE at all. Besides the paint I have to give it a 7 on the yawn scale for lack of change or improvement. I definitely felt no desire to trade my 07 in.

...When are they gonna make a 14 as fast as the '06 model?? F*ck the color, if the bike that does what I want is TOO ugly, I can grab a rattle can and a case of beer to fix it! IMO it's an embarrassment that the 10R has nearly the same HP as the 14, with dang near a hundred pounds less weight! Granted a few mods takes care of the problem, but still...

The 07 is just as fast as the 06... people need to stop trying to compare everything to smokin' though. In bone stock trim, I went a 6.40 @ 117 with a 1.62 60ft my second time to ever take a bike to the track.
