Broken Rear Side Fairing Tabs?

I noticed the two rear side fairings (the ones that say ZX-14 on them) were loose towards their front ends. When I removed the seat to have a look I found that the front tabs that secure the fairings were BOTH broken. Has anyone else had this problem? When I first got the bike I noticed a crack in the lower left fairing where the bolt goes through when I did my first oil change and that was replaced by the dealer.
Anyone else experience fairing issues?

Mine is broke on the right side only, tried some high dollar 2 part plastic glue that did not work. If you find a fix please let me know.

Doc.

After trimming off the broken tab, I made a small (about .75" x 1") metal tab into which I drilled a single hole on one end which the factory bolt goes through. The other end goes outward into and under the the top portion of the fairing.
After positioning and bolting the tab in place to the factory frame hole, I drilled in a black .25" self tapping screw through the plastic just outboard of the top seam and into the metal tab. This holds the fairing very securely and in proper position. The seat then covers the screw head.
Will post pics this evening.

Yes if your bikes under warranty, and there's no rash from a crash or tip over they should fix it for you.

Yes mine done the same thing but mine was from the bolts pulling thru on my catalyst seat on a pass. It slid off the back of the bike with me on it...I looked like superman holding on. The only thing that saved my ass was i squeezed my legs tight to the bike until i got slowed down. I gave the bike a once over and noticed when i clamped down on it i broke both front tabs. I now use metal tabs to help hold on my seat!

I got my bike from Long Island Kawasaki in Hicksville, NY. Actually my family's fifth bike from them. I'll contact them and see how it goes.

one of my complaints about my red '06 was the plastics fit and finish were pure junk, I always worried about tabs breaking because of the mis-alignment, but never noticed that any actually snapped

I have a right side on its way, to be honest I did not even think about warranty. Would be worth a try, this is gonna cost 150.00.
