ZX14 2006/7 or 2008 engine???
Hi Guys,
I'm currently running a ZX14 2006 engine in my single seater race car. See below video link.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGc2yxhdiwQ
I am building a new car and was thinking of going for the ZX14 2008 engine.
Is it better? any advantages? any draw backs?
I would appreciate some advise.
Regards,
Josh.

If you have to leave it stock I would go with the 08' due to better low end, if you can modify, such as removing the secondary flies, pipe, PC etc.. I would get either year. I havent seen any documented real world facts that proves the 08' makes any more peak power than any previous years, even though the factory claims more hp.
Brock made a statement early on that the 08 should respond better to mods than the previous years, but I havent seen the results of this statement printed or proven.

2008 for sure. Why go with an older engine if you had the choice.

price and condition would be the determining factors to me, not the vintage
