It won't hurt your bike.

Termnl-Get the PClll before you put the exhaust on!! The current ECU on the 14 is setup to work in conjunction w/stock pipes. Most any aftermarket pipe acquired will have to have a PClll applied to configure A/F ratio appropriately. Some Manufactures(Brock,Muzzy) have supplied custom maps for our bikes(zx14) and others, you must take your bike to a tuner and have them setup a proper map per the pipe purchased. Hopes this helps...

What Smokehouse says is true but the bike might run like crap. If you want to take that chance, proceed minus the PClll. However, will you be willing to ride your bike in that state?

Yeah ST, you're right, it could run a little off. I was only saying that it would not hurt his bike, and he indicated that he was going to get a PCIII soon. I bought a full exhaust from smokin and wasn't going to put it on until I got the PC, but he said I could and it didn't hurt it. Gained about 8hp but ran pretty rough. Then Johnny Cheese put his magic through the PC and it ROARS. Big difference.

Nice gain smoke minus the PClll!! How much did your tuner charge you for the alterations/magic?

Brock's SMEG. I went from 161/99 to 180/107. And that's a track map. Not bad eh? He could get more if I wanted a dyno queen, but he knew I wanted fast. I'll send you a pm on the charge. Let's just say he did me way right! He is definitely the man, and if there is power to get, he'll find it. He recently got some serious hp/torque for another member on this site that I am quite jealous of. lol
Like I said Termnl, it won't hurt your bike, but it won't perform up to its capabilities without it.
