Got Space?
I was back in the Lab AKA The Garage over the weekend to make room for some of the electronics I'm putting on the bike.
To start off I got a sheet of 12"X18" and had the sheet metal place fold up the sides, so it would be 2 less bends I had to worry about, but after getting into the project I found out the bends were not exactly what I requested and they were closed over the weekend so I flatten it out with a hammer and used some Flat Iron and clamps to make the bend the way it should have been.
14"X16", better measurements and a good paper template would have been a good starting point, but I made it work. You Live you Learn, LOL.
Below are the final result of my 1st sheet metal project, the bike is still in pieces while I complete the rest of the wiring.
I gained about 1.75" @ its deepest point and now have a flat surface to work with.
