M10 or Oval Stainless? (Muzzy)

So, those that know my history know that my 08 ZX-14 lost a battle with a VW Jetta in August.
Zoom forward to today. Time to order new exhaust for my 09 ZX-14.
I've decided to stick with Muzzy because I like the company, service and the M14 header.

Should I ...

1. Stick back on the slightly rashed M10 megaphone, having pride in my battle scars.
2. Order a new M14 / Stainless Oval for street/commuting.

I'm thinking #2 where I can always slip on the M10 for drags if I ever make it to a track.
Anyone ever take road rash out of a piep before? Buffing / polishing?
I liked the M10 but it was wickedly loud. My wife said she could smell exhaust on the back, but that was the only complaint.

Since the insurance is paying for this next set I thought I'd get the most bang for the buck and have two cans I could swap out depending on mood.

But now ... I can't make up my mind, lol.

I would go with the oval stainless. It sounds very mellow, and you really aren't giving up much, if any, performance.

Ok, got the new system ordered. i went with the M14 / Carbon fiber Oval. The 09 Lime Green really looks good at Green/Black so I'll stick to that theme. I can always slip on my M10 for drags/track/dyno if needed.

Dave from muzzy has rolled out exceptional service answering all my questions and ensuring I was treated like a valued customer.

Now back to waiting for the parts/UPS to come.

Which map are you going with? DJ or Muzzy? Or are you going for a custome tune?

Please let us know how they work out.

My Muzzy map that Dave sent me gained me over 14 HP with mods listed below. No slugish spots or anything. I'm sticking with that map. If I need to tweak off that I'll have the locla shop do a custom map.

Yo!

Everything is all mounted and ready to roll ... see mod's listed in sig.

I opted for the Carbon Oval because I can always switch out with my M10 if needed. I'm liking the sound of the Carbon Oval, a bit quieter than the M10 but still rowdy as all heck when you jump on it. My wife appreciates it too!

I was all worried about losing HP due tot he Carbon Oval, but dyno fig's showed a +3 HP gain over the 08 with the M10. 173 versus 176. I'll take it!

Pic ....

I think some green lines on the grill would make the bike look better than flat plastic painted green. They did the orange 09 grills the way the green should've been done.

I bought my 08 in March. A VW Jetta pulled out in front of me one night and I T-Boned it at 20-is. totaled the bike. I replaced it with the 09 you see here. nobody told me the 09 was faster, there were no mehcanical changes from 08 to 09 so I assumed all things would be equal. I think the difference is HP might be just regular fluctuations, nothing more.

I did some roll-on's last night and I swear it lifts the front end easier, that's just my butt dyno talking though.

That pipe looks great on you bike which also looks great. I polished out the scratches of my rashed up polished oval Muzzy, it came out pretty good.
