Big Z at the track
I took the 14 to the track Saturday for a day of scratching around since my buddies have been giving me shit for getting out of roadracing. I did a more than a little work on the rear suspension and new tires (190/55's) along with a little tweaking on the front end geometry. I also maade a custom exhaust hanger and mirror block off plates. The guys in tech where a little concerned that the lowers would drag. Long story short it handled like a dream shreaded a new set on BT002 R's and I had a great time. The SMEG sure made an impression on a lot of people.

PS: I'm going to post the bike for sale shortly. I'm not ready to retire yet!!!!!!

NICE!!! Thanks for sharing!
Did you replace the rear shock, or find a way to eliminate the softness of the factory shock
which track?

I didn't replace the shock, I just set the sag and played with the rebound and compression on my secret set-up roads in Ky. Then I just concentrated on being really smooth and double appexed a lot of stuff for the ol' point and shoot method. And on the ZX14 point and shoot has a whole new meaning! I was at Puynam in Indiana and that track is really smooth and basically flat. It's big drawback is it has 8 rights and only 2 lefts. Needless to say the right side of the tires are torn up pretty good. I wish I lived closer to Jennings I could use the tires there!
