Sorry Guys!

Not a good nite Friday! Well went to the track friday, they were calling for a cold nite down in the 40s, got there at 5pm. Usually run 9.9s and 9.8s on stock suspension, well got my front end strap this week, so excited as hell to try it out! First time shot it was about 70 degrees launch felt awsome, bike felt awsome ran a 9.68 @ 147 i was pleased with that for the first pass with the strap on. Well the track was packed with cars and bikes time shots getting longer in between temp dropping fast. In comes 08 busa stretched, PC3, toyz exhaust. guy has beaten me before wanted to make him look bad and knew it was possible tonite! He lined up next to me. Did my burnout running 18psi just as smokin told me too. Launched good...shifted into second spun BAD...shifted third spun BAD again. 10.01 im pissed, and hes grinnin from ear to ear. well long story short made another pass 10.01 spun again bike does not like a cold track...or is strapping the bike down in the front taking away too much weight transfer to the rear? Well its late 9:30 eliminations start i drop my tire pressure to 12psi....I dial at a 9.86 go down to the staging area line up against the busa! No dial on his window...Track offical askes him his time he says "9.84" on my 9.86...im thinkin u asshole he knows i was spinning! Im thinkin i otta pop the strap loose but i didnt. well to shorten this up had him sixty footed spun second third he beat me by 1 bike length. And this all sucks because its the last friday nite of the season. I dont know what i could have done differently with tire pressures. im running a shinko ultra soft...maybe it wasnt my nite but still fuming about it! I was so pissed after the run and he was being abnocktious i and asked if i was doing anything to my bike next year ? i said yea it wont be the same turnout your gonna look bad real bad next year!!!

There was plenty of nights I was down to 8-10 psi to get the shinko to hook. I think you would be better off with a pilot race at stock wheelbase.

Well Bently i think this is the last race of the season for me, i might do a day of test and tune but my shinko has about had it. Next year hope to be stretched and lowered any recommendations on a rear tire for running that set up? I do street ride the bike also but only 40-50 mile rides.

Congrats on your best ET !!!

Next time you run in the cold weather drop the pressure down to 15 and stay in the groove!!!

Run YOUR race, dont worry about the games from the other guy...1/2 the race is you riding the bike, the other half is mental !!!

The Shinko soft is good with an arm...I prefere Pirelli SuperCorsa sc1 for the 14 with an arm, the sc2 works fine too...Or the Michelin Race soft...
