VSS for the cruise control
Anybody know anything about the VSS signal from the speed sensor?
I know the PCiii hooks in at the cluster, but I need to know what the number of pulses per mile are coming from the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) on the tranny. Need to ensure that the # of pules are in the useful range of the cruise control.
Thanks in advance.

Off the top of my head I do not. However, if you're looking at hooking up an audiovox ccs100 CC unit, here's how I did it - www.bighammer.net/zx14.html

Yeah, I saw your install. Good work. But the Vac Canister is EXACTLY what I am trying to avoid. Rostra (they make Audiovox's stuff) make a 250-1223 and this is total electronic. Thus the need for the VSS info. The useable signal range is rather large for the Rostra CC. But I am trying to be 'sure' prior to money pay out.
I know the PCiii gets a signal from the harness at the main display consol. I was just hoping to find someone that knows ANYTHING about that signal. Most VSS signals on cars are very similar to the pulse generator on flywheels of motoryclces, just on final drive (counter) shaft. Guess I will just plop the money and hope for the best.
