08 Suspension settings
I don’t see much relevant history on 2008 suspension settings for the average street rider between 180 and 200 lbs. I am 185lbs. and when I am in a turn and hit an uneven road surface by bike hops and wants to stand up. I am not a suspension expert by any means therefore I seek the advice of the experts on this site. What is the best front and rear suspension setting for a 08 on the street? BTW – I run the recommended 42/42 pressure in each tire.

First, check the oil in the forks, oil quantity in my '06 was way off, particularly on the left side. What I've learned from the others, the suspension can be just anything when the bike leaves the factory. This explains pretty well why my initial adjustments didn't really solve the issues I had, but now after the fork service and some readjustments it's better than ever.
I'm 210 lbs, the front preload had to be set at maximum (as much preload as possible), compression is now 4 clicks from the maximum but IMO it should be set at least a couple of clicks tighter (unless you prefer softer ride). Rebound is pretty much in stock settings at the moment, it's a good point to start with when it dampens the rebound just enough not to feel "jumpy" when going over bumps.
Rear suspension is currently in stock form, haven't had any significant problems with it so far.

42 may be recommended, but I'm keep mine closer to 34/36....42psi made the bike feel like I was riding on solid rims.
