Spark Plug Change
OK, I'm about to change my plugs.
Thing is, I didn't get a tool kit when I purchased the bike; so I don' t have that "Special Tool".
Would there be any issues with replacing them without that "Special Tool"?

So what you're saying is it's NOT a good idea to take your toolkit off and throw it in the garbage because you wanted the room for a "emergency beer" in its spot?
~~mumble 'damn garbage can lid'~~ pop~ CRASH!~~ russle russle 'damnit who the hell put THAT in here?!' russle russle~~ 'AHAH!'~~ click - thud- Pop! gulp gulp 'ahh. such a waste of a warm beer'. ~~
I was just kidding, I would never throw it away.

its the factory tool, or a couple short extensions and lots of fucking around. (on a 12 anyway) drop plug wrench down hole, drop extension down hole, drop other extension down hole. wiggle till everything pushes into place, turn with ratchet. when you go to take it out you will need a magnet as you can only get one piece at a time to come out.
save a headache and get the right tool for the job. ive done it both ways and will never do it the wrong way again

OK, got the tool kit.
Pretty fast. won it on ebay Wednesday and got it today.
Also got CR10's.
Dumb question: are they supposed to be threaded on the stem, and do they still have to be gapped.

OK, las you know, I bought the CR10EK's.
I noticed that there are threads on the stem that you connect the coil sticks to.
Do I have the right plugs?

yes you have the right plugs.
A 14 mm rachet wrench with that OEM tool make the job go like butter.

Changed mine with a snap-on spark plug socket that slightly longer than your el cheapo socket from auto zone, a extra short ext, and a common mid link 3" ext. took a total of about 1Hr and that was really taking my time.
Put in NGKs Iridium CR9EIK in replace of the NGK Irirdium CR9EIA that came out. Thats what they gave me at the bike shop. The dept was the same, just the electrode part was slightly deeper in the threaded part of the plug.
Is this the right plug? I'm etting worried.
