ZX14 exhaust Ok, I am looking to upgrade my stock exhaust with a full system. I am not a fan of loud exhaust but I would like better performance. I looked on youtube to listen to what they all sound like and I like the sound Brocks SMEG makes the best. I cannot tell how loud they would be in person. What is my best option? I would not want anything that is much louder then my stock exhaust. Thanks in advance

i like the smeg, but it is semi loud with a deep tone. if you are worried about noise you can get a gen3, or put one of brocks noise plugs in the smeg. either way you get great quality support and maps.

If it comes out right, I will soon be posting a before and after from stock to a Brocks SMEG system. My neighbor's kid took the video, so I am not sure how it turned out yet. I can definitely feel the power difference and the sound is deep and rich, but make no mistake, it is loud. I will be purchasing a noise reduction plug which I think will keep the loudness in moderation, and just pull it at the track or on the more spirited rides.

brocks steet smart system isnt that loud, Ti force and tsukigi should be your 3 to even consider, brocks probably has slight advantage due to great maps and not needing to take your bike to get it dyno tuned .

F U booster boy! Show me a system you can buy that makes more top end, AND more midrange than the M10/M14 setup. I'll post up a video of me at 100+ passing a friend of mine who had my camera tomorrow.
Oh yeah, the M14 muffler is pretty quite at below 5K, too. Once it opens up, though, ... About the same as a Brocks. Don't get me wrong, Brocks is damn close (unless he came out with somethin else in the last month I didnt hear about), and the build quality is the same as Muzzy (great), but the support for Brocks is #1, IMO head and shoulders above Muzzy. Not an issue if you get a custom map done for your PCIII, but still important. Just not $400 better.

I tried the Brock gen3 and Smeg. The gen3 is perfect for street riding, where the Smeg is a little loud for my taste. Brock sells a quite plug for the Smeg if you must have that look.
If you're a racer sound takes a back seat to HP.
Nobody beats Brock at customer support!

I have the Tskugi on my bike, it is pretty damn loud. Bike runs ok. Never such thing as too much power. I think I need one of those turbo pipes

I think I am going to go with the Brocks Gen3. Very noob question for you guys and please take it easy on me; Can you give me a quick explanation of what the PCIII and the mapping does? Is this something I can do myself?

Hopefully this comes through. OK. The neighbor kids first attempt with his camera. Horrible background noise, but when the camera gets towards the rear and in close to the pipes, I think you can distinguish. I revved the smeg and it scared the pee out of him. Oh well, first try.

What were your gains at the track from the m10/m14 system. I'm dead set on just waiting until i have the money for a brocks, but am very curious as to what it does since no one other than the sponsored people ever pipe in and throw numbers around.

I was impressed with my buddies yosh full system, we compared it to my stock cans and its not that much louder at all....was highly impressed with the sound.
I think I will be going with that setup but dual cf slip-on's for the street....

Lol, I would love the Smeg but I just think it will draw too much unwanted attention and get me in trouble.
Will I still notice a performance difference with the Gen3? Not that I need it, ever since I reached 1600 miles the bike just seems to keep getting more powerfull. I am 220lbs and can't keep the front end down in 1st and 2nd

Here's the Muzzy M10/M14 on my bike. Total power mods: K&N filter, Muzzy, PCIII w/ muzzy map, and a heavy right wrist.
Here is the exhaust at 100+mph ( before you ask, YES, I was asked for a close pass, and he waved for it right there. He just didn't think I would pull away that fast from his 636- but I had to lose that 10R on my ass):
