Anyone try VP 4.2

WHats your results? My bike was mapped on the original U4 so whats anyones opinions on this 4.2 vs the old or even against pump fuel? Thinking of running friday and can get some 4.2 if your seeing good results

u4.2 is good on the spray its 102 octane, throw some mr9/mr11 in there you'll fly
but as far as a/f goes you shouldnt see much difference betwenn u4 and u4.2

I love it.

call VP, you will have to adjust your map just a hair for it.........

Once I did, i run the same as I did on the old U4. I have run 124 mph in the 1/8 mile, with stock internal parts on a zx12, with no spray.

hmmm, well brocks, muzzy, & schnitz told me never to spray with VP U4.2 and brocks said never to run it that it was junk (exact words) that only if the class i was racing in required it should i use it. MR9 is no longer being made so if you get some it will be shelf stock but MR11 and MRX01 (for spray) is the best(also cost the most)

u4.2 is 102 octane dont see why you cant spray on it, mr9 is 87, mrxo1 is 92 octane so i def wouldnt spray on that.

1. well i think caution should be used whenever spray is used on any Oxygenated fuel, 2. i believe they were also referring only to small shots (50 or less) of course proper AFR is the key and 3. MRX01 is 98 octane which is perfect for small shots and MR11 is 90 great for all motor runs. i was told that U4.2 has a detonation problem when used with nos, brocks said they have seen several motors damaged because of it..............................the fuel i want try is StreetBlaze 100, has anyone seen it or tried it??? claims to have 14% more power than premium 91 octane fuel

I have never quit running u4 since I started using it in 2004. When I started then, I gained 4 mph in the 1000ft, 3 mph in the 1/8, and 2 tenths...........

I short shifted my bike sat night in a 5.90 class, 700 rpm low on the shift light.........

ran a 3.78 330..........

Stock internals.

Its GUD!!!!

And thats the key. if your bike is dynoed and mapped with the fuel using the nos and its done right, there should not be any detonation problem period. Especially since the 4.2 is over 100 octane i think the story has to be a little mixed up.

if you go by normal jetting and dont test, an oxy fuel would be way lean in a nitrous application right? mapped correctly, im guessing theres a lot more fuel added for a set amount of nitrous compared to non oxy fuel.
if you run c16 and nitrous really lean you will get damage too right?

lean/rich had nothing to do with the engine damage but detonation is where the problem was. Now that would normally be due to low octane fuel. Im am just mentioning what was just told to me last week when i questioned three different performance companies about my dyno results with nitrous. i am no expert, but the one thing they all agreed on was dont use U4.2 unless you compete in a class that requires it. especially don't spray with it. Wish i had asked more details as too why a fuel with appropriate octane rating had a detonation problem when used with nitrous but i didn't. I figured someone else would chime in and further explain by now

I ran through a can of StreetBlaze 103 a while back spraying. On motor I didn't get any real increase near as good as running U4.
