Gear question again !
Can anyone tell me what the 1/4 mile time difference was when they switched gearing from 17/41 to 16/41 and to 16/44?

PCIII, no flies, stock exhaust, 240lbs. I was interested in the time difference other people gained from these gear changes.

I'm about to try out a 16t this weekend. Like smooth said, there are too many variables, BUT... I can tell you that a few years ago a magazine had a shootout with "Shine" riding the 'busa and ZX-12. They ran them completely stock, with a sprocket change, and slammed. it seemed that there was about a .2 second difference with the sprocket change and .2 second difference slammed.

Hurricane-You might only get a few people to respond to this thread....If you do a search at the top left(like gears). you will get a lot of info on the matter that will be relevant and some threads won't but you may want to start there. Just recently there's been some info floating around here. Good luck and I would give my suggestions if I had the experience in this realm.I just got a Vortex 43t rear and 16 t front but have not put it on yet to report differences
