I would never use frame sliders because.

XTRO you probably damaged your cylinder head as well as the frame for a total cost of ? Got to be more than $200 plastic.

I really appreciate all your responses. I believe I will not take any chances and remove the sliders. I would much rather replace plastics than risk damage to the mount or engine.
Does anyone verify that I can reuse the original bolts?

All I can say is I have an 08 14 now to replace the 07. I still own the set of framesliders I took off the wrecked 07. They are in my garage in a box.

I road tested mine too! The bolt bent & it broke the engine mount. It seems to have helped, but still alot of damage. It looks like it slid for a bit but then it bent or hooked up & flipped the bike on its top. Or at least this is what I thing happened. This was at 50 mph or so.
