I went from stock to 16/41 to 16/42 and i clearly noticed a difference with the one tooth going to a 42 rear........it wasnt a HUGE difference but it was clearly noticable.

Also for the record I think 16/42 or 17/45 are perfect ratios for the 14 good for street, strip, highway, in town and everything in between.

i think i am going to 16/42=2.63 until i need a new chain,,then i might go 17/45=2.65,,but bigger sprockets the chain dont turn as sharp, less friction

stock wheelbase depending on the weight, stick with stock 17/41 or go up one on the rear.

I heard that going up on the rear and leaving the front alone makes it more wheelie prone?? Correct me if I'm wrong but there's a local stunter here that said the front is usually stock and they only go up in the rear. I don't know. I'm running 16/41 now and love it. 16/43 was to much for me as I do slot of highway riding as well.

16 /41
if your getting a new chain, then 17/44 !
same gear ratio, but bigger circle equals less friction, and more teeth = more miles / life !

I am 210 suited, so bigger guys might want 1 -2 extra tooth on the back, depending on use.

Mike, I've honeslty forgotten what sprockets I've got on the bike now. Haven't ridin' in over 10 months.. I've got several combinations, I think I still have the 18t on the front from my road trip??? I even have the 40T that Halvesfast broke 200 mph with in Texas.
