Frankenstein now has:

- Highly modified subframe, and seat !

- 2007 Yamaha R6 tail section and undertail

- chromed 2008 GSXR 1000 wheels,

- GSXR 1000 forks, triple clamp with ohlins cartridges,

It was a lot of work, and machining involved getting the wheels and forks on the bike.

Marriaging the R6 tail to the modified zx14 subframe, then the marriage of the seats took a lot of work.

Days, not hours!

Next parts to be installed:

- rear Ohlins shock,

-4-8” Macintosh arm with battery box, adams links,

- galfer rotors,

Others waiting to be assembled:

- Galfer superbike stainless lines,

- Gilles clip ons, ASV levers

- Vortex rear sets,

- Zero gravity windscreen,

- Bestem Carbon fibre dash inserts, grilles, lowers,

- Carbon fibre GSXR 1000 fender (doesn’t look as nice as a ZX10 fender, so I will have to make brackets for the gsxr forks)

- Dzus fasteners and quick pins on all bodywork

- HID lights with angel eyes.

- ATP turbo kit, Ceramic coated, upgraded with external waste gate (GT30R Garret)

- Custom 9.5:1 Ceramic coated JE pistons, Carrillo rods, COOPER ported head with oversized Ferreira valves

- Front and back cut transmission by FBG, evo shift star

- Orient quick change clutch cover with MTC lock up clutch
I have a 2 stage and a multi stage which i will try at the track.

- ARP head studs, HP oil relief valve, Pingel catch can, adams oil pan.

- Custom one off fuel system with 550 cc RC injectors, external fuel pump, stock pump/ regulator removed, block off plate, Aeromotive Pressure regulator, braided fuel lines

- BIG CC Billet velocity stacks

-MSD SB6

-Bazzaz ZFI with AFM, and a Wego3 on board.

The bike has lost about 85 lbs!
Even with a 40 lb turbo, it should weigh about 40 lbs less than a piped zx14. ( which is already 30 lbs lighter than stock)

I am shooting for 325 RWHP on pump fuel, and 470 RWHP on C-16!

Damn realestate is PITA.
Buyer had inspection done today and the inspector wouldn't fuggin leave.
Fug off an get out of my house!
I have work to damn nit!

The pics do it no justice, and I should have left the blue plastics I used for 1st mock up on the bike as the shape and detail can be seen much better

OK the subframe is complete and bolted up, as is the swingarm, shock, adams straight link, turnbuckles, seat base, wheels and rotors.

If I don't build the engine next weekend then, I will shorten the harness.

The subframe will have to go out for powder coat after all the welding and cutting.
I also have to build a sheet metal extension for the R6 undertail, to protect and hide the fuel tank,

Going with the GSXR 1000 tripple clamp, but have to get the posts pressed out and the bottom clamp machined for the zx14 post.
The great thing about the gsxr tripple clamps, is they are waaay lighter, and reduce the trail, and offset from the head stay, for quicker handling, and more weight on the frt end to assit with keeping it planted when the turbo spools towards 25 PSI!

its a 190.
Thanks guys.
I think the zx14 is one of the most diffucult bikes to do any mods to the rear end, as the back of the tank being placed down and back into the subframe really limits the ability, or opportunities to work with it much.
The rear main spars are almost a necessity to use, that or have new, but similar ones made to cradle, and cover up the rear of the tank and fuel pump area.

I am putting a different tail, and turboing a friends busa over the winter.
The rear of that bike looks alot easier to work with.

Excellent work Dub....I really like the view of the tail from the back. It really matches the lines of the tank and upper cowl. Very good vision before you went to work. I see no after thought in your work. You're artistry is appreciated by me and others here I am sure.

thanks for the compliments.
The pics do it no justice, and honestly I think it looks horrible in those photo's... well its like looking at a muscle car with a frame off rebuild.
You have to imagine what it will look like when finnished.
LOL.
the camera shows all the dust too.

I was going to put a 06 GSXR1000 tail, I have one in mint shape, but it really is no smaller from the rearthan the stock tail, and I really went after the most dramatic change i could make.

I can't wait to get home this weekend and get back into it!

Lyle,

How can you say it has 325 hp. It doesn't even have an engine? Stealth?

Monster or ... baby lamb? Can't tell yet.

In the aviation world we call it an "experimental". Maybe that's what you have-.

Looks good for a work in progress. I look forward to the finished bike.

(Looks like you had a lot of snow this winter--)

well thew stock engined zx14's are making ~290 RWHP at 8psi with 6 degree's timing pulled on pump fuel.
I hope to run about 10psi, with no timing pulled, 9.5:1 compression, on pump, plus the head has been CNC ported with oversized exhaust valves.
I just picked up an aquamist water injection system, so i am sure I will get about 12 PSI on pump without detonation!

Yes lots of snow last winter, and in about 45 days I will live only be 2 hrs from the Rocky mountains... the sled will be getting allot more use.

I will also only be about 12 Hr drive from bonnyville!

If the bike is ready in time please come out. We'll have a great time. Will be there Sep 2.
Your bike looks exciting-- and probably fast too. Let's give it a whirl on the salts--
