Tire rubbed through the inner fender
Got some Racing in this last weekend hit my personal bets so far .664 in the 1/8 , at 300 lbs with gear stock motor , Non the less Not sure what was different this weekend over others but the rear tire Burnt through the inner fender and melted 4 wires from the ecu thought i lost the motor tons of excess fueling went on running on 1 cylinder , even saw raw oil in the pipe , so i grabbed the meanstrek to finish out the day of racing ouch ,.930 yuk , , so the harley team i helped out last year with a front tire came over to help me out we stripped it compression tested it all was good fixed the wires , raised the back of the bike an extra inch , flashed it up it took a few mins to burn off the fuel and oil , cleaned up no noise , no smoke , made a T/O easy pass all sounded good , then cut a .669 i think the bike is ok , anyone else have this happen . ( will add pics when i get off shift)

Peter, the tire will rub if lowered too much, without a tiger tail undertail.
I think you likely were launching harder than ever, and this was keeping the rear squated and rubbing longer.
Be careful not to squash the fuel pump with the swingarm , cause thats the next thing that will happen if the tire rubs.
Congrats on your new pesonal best, those are good numbers for a 300 lb guy!

Looks like rider weight may be a factor.............hard to tell from the small vid.

yes like i mentioned around 300 lbs with gear but this is the first time it has rubbed no difference in weight or bike hight , not all of us can do jenny craig weight loss lol

you should get your shock revalved, the factory shock/spring is kinda weak. I did the same thing weighing 200 and extended 6 inches,costs about 400 bucks and has improved me et's consistently by a couple tenths.

he's got like a 13.5 spring which is very heavy, revavle would help some, but even stiffer spring looks to be required as well with the reduced ride height and added traction.
I think a straight rocker arm might be cheaper way out...., and will have zero down time...

well jumped on the scale at work tonight 258lbs , And no i wasnt sleeping at the light was a bracket race the Bking dialed in with a 6.98 , i was dialed in with a 6.69 , i still broke out argh
the Blue jacket and blue tank makes me look way bigger then i am

The stock parts are really not designed for a lot of weight. I would think that a guy and his girl would be a big ask for the stock parts......and that would be about 300lbs.
I would do away with the rear parts alltogether........

My bike does not see a passenger ever its for ME ALL ME Muhhhaaaaa , But yes i have already put a 13.5 rate spring in it and it is revalved shock .I took the stock one out and left it out i will replace the swing arm with a streched one and have looked into the tiger undertail as Dubious has recomended .
