What to do?
I have a 07 ZX-14. My friend bought a 08. When we race from a roll, mine is a little faster in 1st and 2nd gear. When we get to 3rd he starts pulling on me. So I pulled the flies, put a PC3, and a 16/41 tooth sprocket without his knowledge. We raced, again and he still pulled away ( probably 2 bike lengths in a ¼ mile) with his stock 08. I am about 60 pounds heavier but I thought those changes I made along with the mapping would make a difference. It did on the low end but full throttle runs are the same. He has a real attitude that pisses me off over this. What can I do to get more MPH to pull on him.

I know slip on pipes are about 20 lbs lighter. (Two Brothers) Do you think they would add more mph to the 1/4 mile time or is their something else better to spend money on.

It depends on what you use your bike for..IMO slip on's are not worth the money. I rather have a full exhaust that weighs less and makes more power for the same price as slip-on's. The exhaust is the most important thing you can do to this bike in stock form...second would be lower it, pull the flies, gear, so-on so-on.......

Which full exhaust would you suggest. I drive it on the street only, and live in a quiet area!!!

Brocks street meg and race map ..... It's the only way to go fast ... You can buy a plug for the smeg that goes in the end of the Can and cut down some noise if it pisses of two many people ...

When you put the pc3 on it might have been rich, so the bike may have been bogging a little and Maybe he did a little some thing too???

He is by NO WAY a better rider. He cant handle the bike, its to big for him. These runs are straight 2nd - 4th gear. I thought of switching, but he does not drive good enough and he would crash my bike. I know with a rider the same weight as him, my bike is faster. I just was dissapointed with the changes I did, that on full throttle runs it did not make a difference in my top end. I just want to beet him!!! He puts the 07 down and I am tired of his ego...

Go ahead and throw a 43 or 44 tooth sprocket on the back. It'll make a world of difference.

I think he's already one step ahead of you in the one-upmanship game. He's probably already running a 16 tooth on front...and possibly no flies and pc as well Check how far back his chain adjusters are, they're prob back farther than they should be for stock lol
