It really does put things a little more in perspective… All those shifting problems and false neutrals would drive me insane (not to say a good break in period or a minor tweak would not fix it).

It just goes to show that the grass is NOT always greener across the street.....

Finally got my bike back. The dealer replaced the big end and main bearings, rings and oil pump. paid for by Kawasaki au. They still insist on dirty fuel being the problem, but conceeds that if not fuel then it must be the castrol synthetic oil I use. Anyway, at least I have it back, and have started to run it in again. Seems to be ok at this point. Given I must be the only high end bike owner in the world to get bad oil and fuel to cause a carbon build up that causes engine failure, it is no wonder I can't win the lottery.

Wow I'm going thru the same thing.
bike is a 2010 and its noisy as hell.
At the dealer as we speak how long was repair and how much

Sorry for the long delay in my posting, they finnaly gave me a new motor. They also paid for the lost value of the bike. I have been on deployment and forgot I posted on the net. Wow im getting old.
