APB SHOEI RF1000 DIABLO XL

i was out at my favorite watering hole wild willy's last night and some POS cut my helmet off my bike and just left the metal ring. i have never had anyone mess with my stuff there or anywhere else. i still can't believe it . what good would a helmet do someone without the ability to strap it on? do they put a new ring on it? it was parked on the sidewalk right in front of the place and i was watching it periodically through the evening, but when i went to leave it was gone. there are some real winners in this world i guess. i will be on the lookout for my bucket, there are a few others out there that have them but it is still somewhat distinctive. it is black and white with a blue circular design on the back. if i find a pic i will post it for all the good it will do. i am pissed that i have to go looking for a new lid today cause they aint cheap. thanks for listening to my rant. it sucks that you can't trust folks to leave your shit alone.

bigdtd,

That's why I always take my helmet with me. I don't have $600 dollars to give away!! I hope you catch the MOFO and do you know what!!

I can't stand a thief...we work hard for the money we get and I don't appreciate any lowlife MOFO taking what someone else has earned.

Sorry about your loss...you are in the DFW area aren't you? I'll keep an eye out at sonic and the other local hangouts!!

A guy in Tampa had his helmet stolen. He slowly rode his bike home without it (like i would've done). Car pulled out in front of him.

the memorial ride details were a few weeks ago....

I don't know if you left your bike or rode it home, but fack the helmet we're all safe. I look forward to seeing your pretty new helmet next time we take the bikes out

well, as much as i hate to agree with fish it was time to get an arai. I chose the rx-7 corsair. i found it at cycle gear, they have a seven day trade in policy if you don't like the fit. it was a brand new model just released with the monster energy graphics, stars and stripes on the top and some cards and poker chips on the back. it cost way too much but the features and fit sold me. there is even a cd with video instructions detailing the features and operation. needless to say IT WILL NOT LEAVE MY SIGHT. another thing, if you register a helmet with the manufacturer, if someone else sends it in for repair that is not the owner it will be returned to the registered owner according to the guys at cycle gear.

i like the first ride with the arai, the venting features keep fresh air flowing and the shield stayed clear even in a steamy rainstorm. it is a quality helmet, it is just a shame that this is how i had to find out about it, by having some scumbag lift my old trusty shoei.

OK Fish, you can give him his helmet back now, he got your point.

Sorry to hear about that shit Bigdtd, I've always wondered if it is a good idea to leave my lid on my bike. I've been known to hang mine over my mirror or set it on my seat when I'm just running in the store for something, probably not a good idea but I've been lucky so far. It helps that its an ugly plain black helmet and big enough to fit a Rhino! Though replacing it would be frickin hard, nobody makes a shell big enough to fit me anymore! Can't even custom order it, my jaw to cranium distance is too large

if this saves someone else from suffering the same fate, somehow some good could come out of it. it didn't make any sense to me for someone to ruin my helmet by cutting the strap, but some asshole got a kick out of it. now i just do not trust folks to act right. its a shame cause i don't trust the beneral population any more. if your stuff means something to you, keep an eye on it or take it with you. i just hope some video they have captures something i can use..........
