Thanks for the tip on the high volume oil pump. You have any idea on the price point?

No idea on the price for the gear, you would have to call Jim.

The Competition CNC cylinder head is done, and in my hands.

I will add more later, but here are a few pictures:

The basic specs of this head are:

Stage 3 CNC Porting
1mm O/S Valves
Larger Bronze Valve Seats
Bronze Valve Guides
Bored for Hayabusa Buckets (to use high-lift cams. Kawasaki buckets are too small for anything much over .400 lift)
APE Valve Springs & Titanium Retainers
Port-Matched Intake Manifolds

This head is very similar to Rickey Gadson's head which made 254 STD hp on his dyno, on his 2 x 5 motor. My state of tune will likely be more conservative, so I might make a little less. His motor is set up for dragracing, but I want to hold mine at WOT for 1.5 miles.

As usual, great service from Competition CNC. Jim will take the time to explain things to you, and he gives you options.

I also have a high volume oil pump gear on the way, and will post pics when it arrives. I also got the Muzzy billet oil pump cover, since the stocker apparently has a tendancy to leak and/or flex at high rpm in certain cases.

If you remove the bolt-on frame supports that will be just under 2 lbs. That is easy weight loss.

I also took off the helmet lock and seat latch, but the two rails with bolts are 30 oz by themselves.

High volume oil pump gear, also supplied by Competition CNC:

It looks to be very well made. This part has to be pressed onto the shaft. It's hard to judge the size from my pictures, but the gear is about 2" across.

APE Titanium Retainer:

You can also see some of the machine work that was done for the clearancing, and to install the Hayabusa buckets.

Hayabusa bucket (left) vs. ZX-14 bucket (right):

As you can see, the Hayabusa part is quite a bit larger. This allows you to use cams with much greater lift.

Muzzy billet oil pump cover:

This cover should seal better than the stock part, which is known to leak in some cases.

Here is an exploded view, showing where the pump cover and high volume gear will be installed:

So, at this point my oiling system is stacking up like this:

Modified engine cases by Adams
High Volume Oil Pump Gear
2" Adams Billet Oil Pan (has added capacity over stock)
Muzzy Billet Oil Pump Cover

I am still undecided on just how much oil pressure I am going to run. I am either going to buy the billet 110 psi relief, or make a little fixture to shim and test an oem relief. I have never been sold that 110 psi is really needed, but they sometimes run that and more on the Busa. I would like some increase for an extra margin of safety, I'm just not sure how much.

I know they did some epoxy work on some oil passages to restrict oiling to the transmission. Also, some work was done with the oil squirters. I will be looking at the cases in person sometime in the next couple of weeks, then I could tell you better.

WEB intake cam (the exhaust cam looks similar, lol):

APE adjustable cam sprocket:

Still on the fence regarding the cam chain tensioner. I will either run a modified 12R auto tensioner, or a manual.

Here are a couple of cell phone pics of some of the work:

I'm sure there are some other things, but these are the pics Steve sent me. I will know more when I take a look in person.

I also forgot to mention that when they do the case mods, Adams also modifies your stock balance shafts so you can use them as blanks. The cost for Adam's work was $300.
