Nope, I might not install it for a bit since I have a spare cylinder head getting work right now. I'm not sure whether I want to put everything back together just to take it apart again.

I thought about going with the turbo, since I have most of the kit pieces. But right now that is not the direction I am interested in.
Besides, we have to assemble Racheal's turbo bike, and that is a big enough project.

Here is a comparison of the profile of the Catalyst Pro Street Tank, vs. the stock tank:

Obviously much better for tucking in at speed.

Weight of stock tank, with cap:

Weight of Catalyst tank, with cap:

A pretty big difference! I haven't measured the capacity of the Catalyst tank, but I suspect it is no more than 2 gallons.

Nope. It's not an issue for me, but could be for someone else.
Obviously it's not an ideal tank for a street bike.

The bike is approximately 455 lbs. with 1.5 gallons of gas in it, in last year's configuration. It will be lighter with the new tank and a few other mods.
A stock bike would be around 535 with a similar amount of fuel. So, my setup is roughly 80 lbs. lighter than stock.

Yes, same bolt pattern. But you can't use any of the oem style tail plastics or seat.

$1,100.00 for the tank!! OUCH!! (Schnitz price, if I read it right - maybe you did better)
Then you have to buy the other matching pieces?
I'd like to have one, but .................................... OUCH!!
I know, I know - it costs to go fast ............................

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Who measures dry?
You have fork oil, motor oil, brake fluid, coolant and fuel that are vital components of most motorcycles. In terms of what magazines claim, sometimes they're pretty close, sometimes they're off the mark.

Perhaps it is, but for the purposes of a machine that you can actually ride, you need to look at wet weight.
The full wet weight of a 14 is typically listed as 560-565 lbs.

That really is not that heavy. Back in the 1980's all the big bore fast bikes were over 530 wet and they were air cooled and carbs and about 75 HP...Less. :-)
