Compared to last year, it is sitting down. I dropped it another 1/2 inch up front. It doesn't look like it without the lowers, though:

Rick, do you have any photos of yours? Did you cut the centerstand tabs off of the frame?

Very good! It was cool to carry a 8" or so wheelie and not be 100% sure if it was off the ground. It just floats it out.

I really like this setup, and I am going to make it even better. The sound of the sidewinder is music to my ears, also.

It's going ot be a whole new learning curve to get the most out of this setup. I'm pretty excited about it, actually.

That arm sure does look good Shane!

Thanks Chad. I am pretty happy with how it turned out:

I had always heard that these were nice arms, but for some reason they never appealed to me. I'm glad I finally decided to try one.

Shane that looks great.Do you have the power one on the rear?I have it on the front since I ride in the twistys and I dont think you can get a better front tire for the street.Im thinking about getting one for the rear if they make two compounds like they do for the front? How do like the tire so far?

The one on my bike is the 2CT, the street tire. There are some racing versions, but I don't think you would need it. I have only used the tire at the dragstrip, and it works well. Of course, every time you add wheelbase you need to make some small adjustments to maintain good traction.

When I installed the TiWinder, I also installed an Adams 2" Billet Oil Pan. Here are some pictures of the pan, before installation:

Trap door in the sump:

Threaded plugs (more on that later):

Bottom view:

Inside the pan, with baffle plate removed:

Height compared to OEM:

Another comparison to the OEM:

More pics of the install, and some important installation notes soon to follow.

Before I go into details on the install, I would like to mention that I have an oil sponsor for 2010:

I am being sponsored through T&J Synthetics, a site supporter:

http://lubedealer.com/t&jsynthetics/

Tressie and James have been great to deal with, answering all of my questions prior to the sponsorship. I will also be using WIX filters and several other Amsoil products this year. I appreciate their help this season!

Now, on to the install:

The oil pan geasket will have to be trimmed in order to clear the "crank scraper" of the new pan:

Here you can see the oil cooler has been removed:

When you removed the oil cooler you will need to either cap the radiator and block, or connect the lines. Be sure to use good quality caps if you go that route; I tore one of mine and covered the bike in coolant at the track.

Here is the backside of the oil filter relocator plate:

You can see that I have 4 bolts and 4 washers...you will only use 3 of the washers. One of the washers can interfere with mounting the filter, as shown here:

Do not install that washer; here is the proper setup:

You will need to remove one of the aluminum plugs to install the oem oil pressure switch. In my case, the center of the soft aluminum plug twisted right out. It was installed so tightly from Adams that it stripped out the soft aluminum center:

I was lucky enough to grip it on the outside with vise grips to remove it. Be very, very careful!

Sending unit installed:

Pics of completed install:

Another note is that the right rear fairing mount backet will not bolt up without modification due to the different shape of the Adams pan. I have not modified mine yet, but it is something to be aware of. Also, I had to install the oil pipe in the pan and push the assembly up in the motor, the fit was too precise to do it any other way.

FYI, oil capacity is increased to 6 quarts with the 2" pan. As stated, you do lose the oil cooler.

If I think of anything else, I will be sure to post it.

Looking Good Shane. Pan is a really nice made part. CNC , that would have taken me way too

many hours to make manual on a Bridgeport mill..

T&J are good people. Tressie was so nice and helped me set up my account. She even
threw in a tee shirt. with case of 10W40.

Never used a Wix filter on a bike. My 14 has extended warranty so I use the Amsoil oil but a OEM filter. Hurt a engine and have to have towed to Dealer.OEM filter. Thinking they could
have aexcuse to say NO. :-)

Did you ever has OSR cut one of your stock pans?? If so PM me if you want to
sell it.

Thanks Louis. Yeah, the pan is a real nice piece of work. I took the baffle off and cleaned and inspected all of the surfaces before mounting. I also checked the operation of the trap door once lubricated. Better safe than sorry.

If I were ordering another pan, I would ask them to loosen both oil plugs prior to sending. That way, no worries.

I never had an OSR pan done, but I have only heard good things about them. I do have a spare pan if you need a core.

just an FYI -- if you use a filter for a yamaha 660 raptor you wil gain a little clearance -- some pipes run real close to the filter in that location -- we run the raptor filters --

I also finally installed the Cycle Logic lock-up:

I went back to the stock clutch cover and Cycle Logic spacer for now:

My quick access cover needs a lot of work in order to clear the TiWinder. I never felt anything different from the lock up at the track, which is what I expected. I still need to find the right spring combination; I went back to stock springs (no spacers) and did not like it at all.

With the TiWinder and this pan there is adequate clearance for even the oem, but it is good to know the options.
