Nope...just waiting on parts and money.
Things, and overtime, have been slow this winter! I was even snowed out of the garage for a full month! Hopefully I can kick things into high gear soon.
When I get enough of the new pieces together I am going to kick off a new build / blog / race thread, for just the 2010 season. Lot's of changes and developments forthcoming.

why didn't you go with the shoot out tank instead of the pro street tank? there could have been a little more weight saved and you could have been scooted a little further forward.

Shane have you done any measuring on the primary tube of the Ti-winder yet?
I need to know if that pipe has the largest tubes made. Thanks for posting all your hard work.

Catalyst actually sent me a shoot out tank mistakenly, and I sent it back.
Numerous reasons I didn't use it:
1) I find it hideous.
2) Too far forward for someone my size.
3) No contour at the front of the tank; it is completely flat on the frame.
4) Very low fuel capacity.
5) Sits too low for me; will require major control changes for me to use it.
6) Not really suitable for my LSR usage.
On the plus side, it is a little more than 1.5 lbs. lighter. I almost kept it for that reason, but it in the end it would have been a painful series of compromises...and that bike would not have looked like I want.

It uses the same spigots as the CT, which would make minimally larger. I have measurements of the CT about 10 pages back, which should help. It is not a big difference; Brock told me that most of the power change (which will be fairly small on a stock motor) is from smoother welds and the larger spigots.

I'm still waiting on parts for the 14, so I'm tinkering with the 12R instead...
It's been a long winter, and I finally got a chance to do a little test and tune on my 12R. I have been anxious to stretch the legs of the 1287cc Ace Performance powerplant.
I had not done any high speed riding in months, and my last LSR event was in August of 2009. Suited up this morning I was 230+ lbs (winter and holiday fatness). Nonetheless, I wanted to do some data logging and start tuning the machine so that I can race it later this season.
Here is the setup:
Obviously not the hot ticket for speed, so I kept my goals modest. This day was not going to exploit the potential of the machine. No lower farings, and the big dorky mirrors certainly don't help the aeros. :lol
Here is the LM-2 data logger:
Yep, right on top of the tank where you need to tuck!
But, to cut to the chase...I went to "The Spot". Well, it's definitely not a "Spot" that I want to frequent! All of my concerns about the area were well founded. I won't waste your time with the details...but let's just say that I prefer to do my racing on the track. You won't find me running up and down the roads looking for races this summer.
The bike ran well, but I have quite a bit of tuning to do. In general, it was running rich on top. I did manage to lean it out a bit, with good results.
I also came away with a small video:
Remember how I said that the logger made it impossible to tuck properly? Here I am sitting up off of the logger, at speed, in the breeze:
The bike ran great all day. I put 200 miles on it yesterday, bringing the total miles on the motor to 600. It was certainly no slouch, even with the crazy setup. You'd be surprised by just how fast you can go with your helmet up in the breeze, and no lower fairings! Then again, a few of you wouldn't be surprised I definitely see some very fast times ahead for this machine.
Special thanks to Shiphteey for showing me the location of "The Spot". And thanks to Sal and Ace Performance for building such a kick-ass motor! I went out yesterday hoping to just have some fun...and I sure did.
I'm not sure if the bike will be ready for a May debut at Maxton, but she will definitely get there sooner rather than later.

I inquired about having it pinned, but Freek said that the thread would actually get less traffic if it were stickied.
On another note, I was planning to start a new thread in the coming week. I wonder if I should just revise the table of contents for this one and continue adding to it?
On the one hand, having everything in one spot is nice. On the other hand, this is a huge thread.

It looks like you are at set right at 65". Did you have a hard time getting your chain on becasue of the bolts holding your chain guard preventing the block from sliding all the way foward? Mine was a PITA and I actually had to dremel my block a bit to get the chain on.

No issues at all with the adjuster block. It is longer than 65", I know that.
