Lee, was that with or without the nitrous?
I'll definitely be weighing it when complete.

Final body part (I think?) arrived today. A Bestem Carbon lower:

Nice quality piece:

4 oz. lighter than my cut-up stock pieces:

I'd give this part a 9 out of 10. For the price ($200), it's excellent. Very few flaws compared to much of the Carbon I've seen. I really wish I could easily remove the silver mesh. That would get me closer to .5 lb. lighter than stock, which is significant. But it will likely end up painted black instead.
Hopefully I will be able to make this and the Catalyst Supersport upper get along.

Shane I weighed the top clamp and ignition.
45.3 ounces
I think the ignition switch and tumblers would weigh half of that alone.
You could mod it if your careful to leave the extrusion around the main body of the clamp, and cut the tower bracket and most forward part off.

Some more stock parts weighed:
Instrument cluster:

1 lb. 6.1 oz.
Lighter than expected!
Stock rear suspension dogbones:

1 lb. 5.8 oz.
Much heavier than expected!

Fairing stay, with mirror bracket, bolts, and tip-over switch:

2 lbs. 10.3 oz.
I imagine that a custom piece could save a pound or so.

wheel center relative to sprocket offset, and swingarm width are different for both models...
Meaning the wheel center, and total wheel width are different, as well sproket relative to wheel center is different ...
Meaning get wheel center, then figure out sprocket offset bro...
Just my 2 cents....
Just tryin to help.

Edited anyway. There is a fly in the ointment....
The two wheels are different widths on the outside of the rim...
So, measuring from the drive side will cause an offset unless I take the different widths into account. I think I can take the difference, halve it, and then re-calculate.

Ok, I got the new caliper. I'm feeling lazy, so I'm going to tackle this in small pieces.
My method of measuring will be simple. I will place the 14 wheel on a glass surface with the drive side spacer in place. Then I will measure the distance. Afterwards I will place the GSXR wheel on the glass surface and measure the distance. Then, by subtracting the difference, I will know how much needs added to the GSXR spacer in order to center the wheel.
First, measuring the 14 wheel:

Rounded to 59mm.
Next, the GSXR wheel:

Rounded to 56mm.
So, we need to add 3mm to the GSXR spacer.
GSXR spacer:

15.8mm. Rounding this to 16mm, we would need a 19mm drive side spacer.
Okay, here is where it gets tricky. I don't have an 8" caliper. But the GSXR wheel is approximately 3mm wider than the 14 wheel. So, that would be about 1.5mm per side. And that needs to be factored in or else the wheel will be offset.
So, I need to subtract the 1.5mm from the 19mm calculated (at equal wheel center, the GSXR wheel lip will be 1.5 mm closer to the swigarm on each side). So, we come up with a 17.5 mm spacer on the drive side. I will have to buy another caliper to verify the 3mm measurement, but it is very close based on a tape measurement.
Everyone read this 10X fast, and tell me if you agree. Anyway, we're not quite there yet. But if anyone see's a flaw in the methodology used, please tell me.
