That looks hard to guard against. I was hoping it would be closer to the nameplate. Thanks for the pics...

Shane, I can't believe you actually weighed the flies. haha, that's funny. I got a pretty good chuckle from that. Good luck with the build.

Re: Heel guard.
As the Brock plate is riveted on. How about looking at some sort of Carbon Fibre heel guard and ('rivet')? it on with some spacers, just above his plate etc?
I can see how close to the Swinging arm it is....hummm!
There are plenty of Exhaust / Heel guards out there. Maybe you can modify one?
Might be a dumb question, but have you asked Brock about a heel guard? He must have been asked this before. He might have his 'option'.

That's what I was thinking (rivets and standoffs). But it looks pretty far away from the nameplate area (the area the boot touches, that is).
I'm not going to worry about it for now...maybe in a month I'll revisit it.

Yes, you have to pull it. The pick up drops down into the deep part of the pan....

Hope these pics help...

Stock brake-side rearset:

With GSXR peg and carbon heel guard:

A weight savings of about .5 lb. total between both of the rearsets. Depending on my setup, I'll probably end up ditching one or both of the heel guards which will save another few ounces on the cheap. We'll see...

Stock, shifter-side rearset with shift lever:

With GSXR peg and carbon heel guard:

No surprises as far as the weight difference goes.

Shane, could you weigh the stock side panels with the signals, brackets inner pannels and the foam pieces bolted in?
Grills?
Can you weight the lowers too if you have time?
My Catalyst side panelswith the uppers, lowers and grills in 1 , will be in next week, and wondering what the drop in weight will be.
I sold the stock stuff already without an accurate scale on hand at the time.
If its not too much trouble buddy....

They will put your feet around 3/8" lower, the angle is canted a lttle more forward.

Foreman Grill:

8.39 oz.
Mid Panel with signal:

2 lbs. 9.1 oz.
Both lowers (one side is cut for clearance, so it's a couple ounces light):

1 lb. 12.6 oz.
And, I figured I'd throw in the upper:

1 lb. 14.4 oz.
Headlight:

7 lbs. 9.2 oz.
Baffle underneath upper:

3.8 oz.

Levers:
I did not weigh the CRG and ASV levers before I got the new scale, so I can not provide numbers except that I am confident they were heavier than the Pazzo levers.

Catalyst Supersport upper:

6 lbs. 11 oz.
Fiberglass is heavier than you might think, but still lighter than the stock pieces combined.

Yes they are short ones.
Does our catalyst upper sides come with mounting provisions for the inner cowling, and radiator air flow direction pieces?
I already ordered some watson design LEDs for front signals... mine will still see street use.
I will post pics when they arrrive, but the watson LED's are SUPER BRIGHT, small, and light but MUCH brighter than the stock signals... pretty cool.
