Can you post pics of the Converti Bars witht he steering turned all the way to the left, so we can see tolerances on the right bar versus fairing?
Thx

These are fully adjustable. you can move the bars forward, back, up, and down. You can also change the angle of the bars. Go to www.convertibars.com for a cool video and more pictures. They clear the fairing and shield with room to even raise them another inch, which would give me a total rise of 5 inches over the stock bars. Believe me they do not hit the fairing. I will post another picture for you so you can see.

"Most kits include new top triple clamp or adapter, handlebar, and Spiegler's patented stainless steel braided brake lines. Kits which require them also contain items like clutch lines or cables, mirror stays and other necessary accessories.

Here is the right side handlebar all the way to the stop.

Here is the left side all the way to the stop.
Here you can see how much higher the bars are over stock. They are above the tank.

Thanks for the assist Sticks... can you please also post up the pics of the "Clip-on" kit too? They're about half the price as the full bar kit and look really good. Dubious ran them for quite a while and seemed to really like them.
Thanks,

No one is trying to be comfortable. The fact is the ZX14 is classified as a Sport Touring motorcycle. The Japs unfortunately think all Americans are 6' 3" or more, so they make motorcycles to fit them. In order for us average hight, 5' 9" Americans, to fit a bike designed for giants we have to make some adjustments. I'm curious as to why your ZX14 is gone. Are you hight challenged also ? Why don't you go to the forum for whatever it is you are riding and take your stupid suggestions with you. We are only interested in constructive suggestions and ideas here.

Hey Turbo, don't pay too much attention to what Mr.Wiffle has to say... Steve is kinda the wise guy around here and keeps things from getting boring. He probably didn't mean anything by it. As for why he sold his Kaw??? Guess he got tired of riding all those chicks around on those Florida roads. He went and bought him one of those "Other" bikes... now he can't pay the girls to hop on for a ride, LOL. Sorry Steve, shoulda stayed Green with the Red 14.

Gen Mar 1" risers clear everything, dramtically reduce the riders wrist/hand fatigue, cables reach, and only $80. You can't beat 'em for the price, I've had them on for over a year. They really help convert the 14 from Sport to Sport Tourer. 400 miles in a day, no problem. They're simple to install and they work.

I think changing the down angle of the bars is a better improvement than just raising the height. The convertibars allow you to raise the angle as well the height. But the Gen Mars are better than the Heli Bars for the money. Look, my back is 55 years old, I need to sit up a little more than you young bucks. Just check out what's out there and make the decision that better suits you. If you are an Old Head like myself, go with the Convertibars.

Glad to know I'm not the only Old Dog - hittin' 50 this summer. But, I too love the 14. I think I catch people off guard when I pull my helmet off and they they see salt & pepper. Thought I'd rekindle the thread for a question.
Where do you get longer cables for the longer rises? Also, how much to the ZX14 and C14 have in common parts wise? Can any of the handle bar/cable parts be used?
Thanks.

I have the GenMars on my 08. they do help out on the long rides. can be put on in five or so minutes. and no clearance problems whatsoever. Now if you a few hundred bucks to spare right now . the convertibars are the hook up. then you can sit almost upright. and change the ZX-14 to an old school KZ-14. cool.

I have the 3/4 risers. They are fine but if you bend your elbows to lower yourself one to two inches, there is no difference in the feel of weight on your wrists. I bought a pair of "sponge grip covers" (cant remember the name), that made the biggest diffenence in long rides. I take and move my hands around alot to keep the blood flowing which seems to help. I would like to upgrade my seat as my ass becomes numb after 45 minutes of riding.
