speedo accuracy

i have 16 41 gearing,,i set the speedohealer to 13.8 %, with a new tire it was to slow,,i set it at 11% n it seems close,,i go by school that have those radar signs saying slow down,n it tells u your speed,,,the speedo is almost exactly that speed it say,,,we have letter streets,,ave H,,ave G n so on,,they r exactly one mile apart,, i check the odo n it is spot on,,with 16, 41 gearing what speed is 11000rpm in each gear,,,

I have the same combo and have the healer set at 11.5% and is dead on. I have a good friend thats a trooper and he's clocked me at different speeds to verify.

does anyone know how to set the speedohealer so that it removes the 186 mph limiter???

I don't have the specifics but set it so there's a big precent of error. If you normally set it so there's 11% error than set it to 25% error. This way when your doing 180, the bike will think your doing 160 or so. Hence, by the time your bike thinks your doing 186mph, your actually closer to 200mph.

I want to say mine is on -14.8% I'll double check tommorow that is based off of GPS constant speed. I'm using a Speedohealer V4. If you go on http://www.healtech-electronics.com click on the Speedohealer link, then to online calculator they have a estimate calculator based on gearing changes and tire changes that's is withing .2% of the actual GPS over indicated speeds I've calculated on it.

At the track I use the "convert kilometers to miles per hour" setting. It gives massive headroom to avoid the ecu limiter and you can still read mph off the inner kph scale.

On the road I leave it in transparent as I run 17/40 gearing which is quite accurate on the speedo without any correction.
