Tapping into RPM and TPS / Locations?

I am getting ready to install an Innovate LM-1 on the 14. Does anyone happen to know the easiest, most accessible points to get rpm and throttle position? Thanks.

Shane

My experience is with a ZX12, but is probably very similar

TPS signal is the middle wire that comes out of the TPS sensor. If you are mounting the LM1 in the tail, it would be easier to tap into the TPS signal at the ECU connector. You can check the diagram in the service manual to determine which pin.

For RPM, you have several options. I am using an injector wire, I had noise problems when using a coil wire. I had troubles with using the tach signal wire to the instrument panel (but my shift light works fine hooked to this wire). You could also use the cam sensor wire or crank sensor (several pulses per engine revolution).
