First time to dragstrip in 23 years

I have to say I was very disappointed in myself. Here's what I have:
06 14, Brock's smeg with track map in p/c, BMC race filter, Muzzy air shifter, M/T slcik, wheelie bars, 16/43 gearing and I weigh between 145 and 150.
I made 6 runs. There was also an ugly 20 mph headwind, too. Here's the best I did:
60 ft - 1.55
1/8 - 6.19 @ 116.44 mph
1/4 - 9.68 @ 137.82 mph
I haven't dragraced since 1983. I had butterflies in my stomach, didn't know if I'd do a burnout ok, didn't know if the airshifter would work right. In other words, I was nervous.
The air shifter worked great and I did have a blast. After 6 runs, my tailbone hurt so bad from the fiberglass seat I got from Schnitz, I figured that was enough. I have to get some padding for the back of that thing. My tailbone starting hurting on the 3rd pass. I couldn't concentrate on what I was doing. I'd take off and say "wow, that really hurts". Anyway, it's worse today. So much for that.
I think I need a little more gearing. I was launching at 7500-8000 and it would bog. I was still in 4th at the end of the 1/4. The M/T slick is about 1 inch taller than the stock tire. I think I might need a 44 or 45 rear. Any suggestions?
I just love that Muzzy air shifter. Didn't miss a beat.
Overall, I really enjoyed running down that strip again. I just wish I would've done better. Maybe next time.

Dealing with a 20 mph headwind, unless it was at your back, you had some fun and your bike'srunning good!

you really need more gear because with 16-43 and that 60 ft time, it should be at the upper part of 5th with a speed of at least 145mph with a stock height tire. I would think at least a 45 or 46 rear.

Any time you are cracking 10's or less, it is not shabby at all! With a 20 mph head win and being your first time out in a long time, hat's off to you!

Thanks guys. I was going against a strong headwind but I also thought the mph should've been in the 140's. There was a guy there with a turbo busa and he said I need a 50 rear. I think that's way too steep. 44, 45, or 46? I'm open to suggestions. I'd like to get this right.
(Thanks kawasakijockey).

You wouldn't believe how it hurts today! I need the seat because I'm short and I can get both feet on the ground with this seat. I just have to come up with some kind of padding for the back part of the seat where it curves upward.
