Saddle bags

Anybody use saddle bags? if so what brand do you like?? Im looking for something to have for the occassional overnighter for me and the wife. Back packs are okay but you know how women are (no offense ladies). I found a pair at knee draggers that look okay but I dont want to make a mistake that others have made if possible.

Nelson-Rigg - Silver Streak Deluxe Sport Saddelbags

anyone experienced these.

If using stock exhaust, just re-check if the clearance between saddle bag & exhaust is ok cus heat from exhaust might be a biiiig "melting" issue.

I've got soft bags for the overnighters. Nelson-riggs sportbags I believe--at least 5 years old.. I really love them. I use a little bit of painters tape on the spots that may get rubbed by the straps. They are the same ones I bought from 'HellsDarkLord" over on the zx12 side of the house.

Have not tried the ones you are looking at, but i tried some soft bags from Cortech and they would not adjust up high enough to get out of the way of the exhaust. The corbin hard bags look sweet but they cost about $1800 if i remember right. I ended up going with an icon tankbag because i could not find saddlebags that would work. Just got back from a 4 day 2600 mile ride with the girlfriend and the tankbag gave us enough storage (barely). Good luck and if you find something that works well and does not cost $2,000 let us know.
