Dropped 5/10ths in one night!
Sorry not a post regarding any topic of concnern - just feeling good about myself and wanting to share.
I was at my local track this past Friday and managed to post my best time to date. At 260lbs suited, I probably will never see the low ET’s some members are at, but I’m now thinking that breaking into the 9’s is at least a realistic possibility.
I started the night with a 10.8 and finished with a 10.3 – a sizable improvement over 5 runs. Runs are as follows:
R/T 0.198 0.259
60 1.926 1.737
330 4.795 4.572
1/8 7.195 6.836
MPH 106.04 109.47
1000 9.155 8.755
1/4 10.814 10.399
MPH 135.74 137.04
I’ve added a PC3 mapped for a SMEG, the front end is strapped down and I run about 22lbs in the rear (stock street) tire – otherwise the bike is as it came off the showroom floor. The 10.8 run, the bike and I weighed in at 775lbs, I’ll assume a little less on the 10.3 as I burned some gas on the runs in between. Feel free to analyze and provide feedback - I'm officially hooked on the 1/4 and loking to improve!

Great going you should be pleased with that improvement. I run stock wheelbase and strapped too. Got into the nines the other weekend, it's a good feeling.

Most of that improvement came in the first 60 feet.
For every 1 tenth reduced in the 60' you get 2 tenths in the 1/4.
Keep up the good work.

Thats pretty good. I weigh about 230 and run into the same problems as you. Of course I have the addition of higher elevation to make me even slower.
In one night I went from a previous best of 10.55 to 3 consistant 10.4's then a 10.27 outta no where.
Me and my bike weighed in at 765 the last time at the track.
