08 busa not over 160mph.
My dealer just told me there not selling anymore 08 busas because of a problem with bikes shutting off at 160mph. Supposedly this is nationwide. Thought you fellows might want to here that new info.

just checked the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website - as of right now, there are no recalls from suzuki for 2008... yet.

More to it then rerouting ign, switch wires. This a on going problem that the 08's have had since new. I have had quite a few with electrical gremlins and the ign is only part of the fix. Does anybody remember how the gen1 thru codes for no apparent reason? and other electrical problems. Bill...

duncan, was dealer into motorcycles? Sounds a little fishy, doesn't seem to be the case here behind the Zion Curtain.

Don't kow where they heard 160 mph it could shut off at any speed.

It shuts off when Smoking's 14 flies by it, at whatever speed he decides to do it.
