What about a wheelie bar? Years ago, I knew a guy who rode one on the street. Always wondered how it did when you were leaning in the corners though.

I put swing arm extensions on my 14 , And also installed a pair of lowering links. They work great. I prefer to keep the front end on the ground.

Hi Dave,
I have a similar set-up to yours, I'm running a 40 tooth on the rear and stock wheelbase. The difference is I have Muzzy 3-position links on the rear, set at 3 inches lower, the front lowered 1 centimeter and strapped too and I have had no problems with 1st gear wheelies. Did a 9.84 sec quarter the other weekend with a 142 mph terminal.
I think you need to lower the rear and strap the front to get the best from the bike. If you use a swing arm extension then you will be having grip problems instead. It's a trade-off. How non-standard do you want to go and do you still want to use it on the street?

+1 to Tater and BobC
You don't want to lower the front without lowering the rear. The reason being that lowering the front will decrease rake and trail. Although this will increase steering response and side to side transition speed it will also sacrifice straight line stabilty. This could result in headshake and since the ZX14 doesn't have a steering damper you may find yourself on the pavement in the blink of an eye. One more thing, the front of the ZX is lightly sprung to begin with and you may want to add spring preload and compression to the help keep the front wheel from possibly getting into the radiator.

Well I only droped the forks about 3/4 of a inch and the lowering links is set in the middle whole, I had it on the lowest hole, but i dragged my head pipe in a turn , so that why its on the middle hole.

On the lowest hole there's also a risk of the rear tire rubbing on the undertray.
