Speedo Healer installed ( surging problem now)

So after getting the new V4 speedo healer and using it for 2 days my bike started to surg in 5 gear around 4 to 7 grand , The first few days the speedo healer only showed 5 in 6th gear which it suppose to . now it does the same in 5 gear it shows 4 , thats when the surging started , talked to speedo healer they recomended i set my correction less . or to put the gtre on instead , anyone else have this problem and get a fix ????

To be honest I run my Speedo Healer in transparent mode for the road and set it to "convert kph to mph" for the track. At the track it's never on part throttle, just open or closed. I have ridden it down to the shop a couple of times set for the track and didn't notice anything unusual. Can we assume you have the secondary butterfly's removed? If not that could be the cause.

I think if you convert kph to mph that that would allow you to run way pass the 200 mark, the speed restictor would be waay up farther & the speed restrictor would NEVER be hit ???
Is this correct BobC ????

Absolutely right, that's why I use that mode. It also allows you to read mph straight off the inner kph scale as a bonus, giving you a 300mph speedo.

THanks for the replys gang

My bike currently flys out pc3usb brocks sidewinder baffle in map , muzzy duel airshifter/nitrous, nos not installed 16/43 gearing , since i installed the V4 speedo healer 2 days of use it started to surg in 5 gear but only when it drops to 4 indicated and does not always do this . what i have noticed if i recall my top speed before each ride the speedo healer only when in 6 show 5 gear if i do not recall the top speed it then also show a incorrect gear in 5 , this has been only trialed today and will keep a close eye on it , the Fix from Speedo healer was my money back , get a Gpro tre unit or cut a wire on the ecu, they stated that some zx14 have been reported to having the surging problem but they where unable to duplcate it on the zzr14. ( yes idle is set at 1100 or so)

Does the V4 have a long cord with a little red button on the end of it?? I had on installed when it was in the shop and I just saw this cord the other day and was curious what the hell it was..

That Cord is your recall button to see what your last top speed was

The 16/43 gearing is why the display is wrong - mine goes 1/2/3/3/4/5

If you have not set the throttle position in the PC is could be part of the problem.......better not cut any ECU wires b/c they carry multiple signals.

I've been running my speedohealer for quite a while now and i've never experienced the gear indicator problem that everyone else has. Guess I'm lucky.

You don't have enough gearing for it to present..............stick a 43 on the back and look again
