Stupid question?

When working with a power commander and you are trying to play with the maps a little, how do you lean or richen. If a value is a negative number and you want to make it leaner, do you increase the negative (-10 to -11) or would it be (-9)?? as well as a positive. I take it that positive #s are richening and negative numbers are leaning, correct??

the map is based on the factory map. 0 is the factory setting so if you go into negative you are leaning it out. if you have -5 now and want to go leaner by 2 you would have -7. positive number are added to the factory map.

Each positive or negative number above or below zero ( factory map ) represent a percentage lean or rich. Example -5 = 5% leaner / +5 = 5 % richer.

Thanks for the replies, this is what I thought but wanted to confirm. For altitude reasons I was going to play around with some maps to see if I could improve.
