almost finished pics
I finally got it painted, chromed the rims, I know most dont like the chrome, but I wanted something to offset the black... Its all Hotrod satin black, and gloss black, its kind of hard to see in this pic, but Ill be getting more.. I still have to get it pinstriped and buff out the gloss black, but other then that, its driveable.... Finallyyyy!!
I cut the brocks pipe down and also, its kind of hard to see too, but it was pretty easy... I also have all the other basics, no flies, brocks map, pc3, schnitz links, 2 to 6 over arm from Thompsons custom cycle, which I will be selling soon, and a tiger tail, and blacked out lens, all but the front...
So, slowly but surely, its coming together....

I like it, it's hot and though I'm not a fan of anything chrome, I think it offsets the dark color very nice. Also, chrome only seems to look horrible when overdone, here it's just the rims and that cool with me.
I also painted my bike last month, though I'm now in Vegas w/ my bike back in Montana but I'll get back in June and post pics then.

I like it...very clean and simple...not over done. I just done my heel guards and mirror block off's in black myself. What did you use to black out the lens's?

I used that night eyes stuff, or whatever its called.. The stuff you can buy in a spray can, the I put a couple coats of good auto clear on them.. buffed them out and they came out great.. I still want to powdercoat all the other aluminum that you can see on it.. I want it all black.. Even the pipe, Shiney ceramic coat black...And some pinstripes because you can barely see the difference where I have the shiney and the satin, so i need some little stripes to offset the colors...

Yep, I can see the difference in the colors on the front fender (nice). It can also be seen on the first pic on the front cowling area (very nice detailed work). Like yourself, I also blacked out all my blinkers and tail light as well, using Night Shades (made by VHT @ approx $10 per can which is enough to do 3 or 4 bikes) and I clearcoated everything after the fact. I think 3-4 coats of VHT and 3 coats of clear should do it for those wanting to know.
Your bike is very nice,

Yeah, I will have to do some experimenting on it.. Probably with colored tape first till I find the right color... Then when I do, Ill get it painted on.... I was thinking of a silver or titanium, but who knows...
