Problem with Yoshimura full exhaust.
I just installed a TRC race full exhaust on my bike. Everything went fine but I ended up with a problem after my first ride with it. It is burning my lower fairing. Anyone else have this problem? Have any solutions?
Also, I tried and tried and tried to get this exhaust to mount on the inside of the mounts. It wasn't going to happen.
Here is a picture of the damage.

let it cool loosen your pipe mounting bolts and adjust position, it is best to check clearance visually prior melting stuff

I removed everything and found out that the end part on the header wasn't free enough. A few whacks with a hammer and some lube and it is all going smooth. The guys over at hpc gave me some pretty good pointers.
The mounts are now on the "inside" just like they are supposed to be.

Just need to tighen everything up and I can call it a day.

Don't let the lower fairing bother you too much. If you shave the burnt part off with a razor knife you can get it relatively smooth. Hit it with some fine grit (OK I used emery cloth) and you will smooth it right out. When your sanding it smooth, concentrate the majority of the pressure on the inside/unpainted side of the fairing. I used a synthetic pot scrubber to remove the melted fairing off the exhaust.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a shot when I get a little free time.
