Ordered some upgrades, how much difference should I notice?

I've ordered a few new parts over the past few days and I plan on installing them this weekend. How much difference should I notice?

Yoshimura TRC Race Full System Exhaust w/ carbon canister
Pipercross Street filter
PCiii
Removing flies
Speedohealer (I know this won't help performance)

My bike is an 07 ZX14. So, what ya think, how much of a difference will I notice?

the biggest differences will come from removing the flies and putting a much lighter more efficient exhaust system on. the filter will let it all breath. if you have the correct fuel map for this setup you are good to go. you just unleashed the true 14 as it should be. the throttle response down low will be astounding, you will have to watch your throttle inputs until you recalibrate your wrist, the speedohealer will let it all keep going up top, i use a -8% correction for stock gearing. all in all you will notice a huge difference and get used to doing wheelies, and by all means hold on. have fun and be careful.

The speedohealer will also increase your performance. It will remove the 186mph limiter which when hit with an uncalibrated 14 is closer to 170 than 186. Then with a good tune on the bike & some MR9 in the tank. You will hit the 190's with some space to run. Not bad for a $100 upgrade.

Thanks zx1kr.

Anyone have any last minute advice before I start tearing the bike apart tonight? I purchased a new 6" #2 screwdriver to remove the flies. I plan on heating the bolts up with a soldering iron prior to removing them.

What I am most concerned about is reading posts where people say it took them four hours to remove the plastics. Anyone else have this issue?

I can get my plastics off in about 5 minutes. I cut off 2 allen wrench's and just chuck them in my cordless drill and zip the bolts in and out. Everything kinda snaps together so dont be afraid to pull on the panels a little. I remove the panels around the gauges first, then the george foreman grills then the tank cover then the lowers then the sides. The sides have a metal stud they hook over (up by the tank) so that is the only thing you really have to look for.
It really helps to have the bike on a stand for this. If you dont you will have to stand the bike up and put the kick stand up to remove the left lower....not hard to do just a little tricky if your doing it by yourself.

Thanks flatoutbu. Unfortunately I don't have a stand and I'll be working alone so I'll probably be doing a little cursing when it comes time to remove the left lower.

just heat the tip of the screwdriver with torch, then hold it on flie screw for a couple of seconds before you try to turn it loose. i removed mine this way with no problems.

Heat up the tip of a screw driver?
You will take the temper out of the screw driver...

If its your first time tearing your bike down it can be a little intimidating but theres nothing to it but to do it. Take your time and you'll be ok. I did the same thing you did over the winter with the exception of the speedohealer and let me tell you the first time the bike was out this year I had a grin from ear to ear the first time I got on the throttle! Be ready, thats about all I can say and good luck with the install.

I have the same upgrades except the brand names are different. One your first ride, try to stay out of the throttle around the curves until you get used to the "extra umph" on the lowend. Once you get used to the extra power, try goin down a tooth in the front, it really helps. Other than that, have fun and becareful!

Thanks everyone. Time for a bit of an update. The forth screw from the left (second fly) SUCKS!!!!! It took me over an hour to get that one screw out. The rest came out pretty easy but that one didn't. I ended up having to carefully drill it out.

Then I had an F1 error. It scared the hell out of me. It took me about fifteen minutes to realize that I had forgot to plug in the sensor that is over the flies. You have no idea how relieved I was once I plugged it in and the error went away.

So far I have removed the flies and hooked up the speedohealer and the pciii. The map is loaded and the speedometer is calibrated and the remote switch is run. I also went ahead and ran a USB cable from the pciii to the under the seat so it will be easy to update it as needed. Anyone that was able to mount the pciii under their seat has my utmost respect. I couldn't do it.

Tomorrow I will install the exhaust then put it all back together. The air filter didn't come in today so I will be installing it on Monday.

Here are a few pictures.

Here's the one I earned. Flies out, and they will never go back. Unless of course someone drills the rest of the screw out then taps the metal.

Here is the wiring for the pciii and the speedohealer.

Here is the pciii in it's new home.

Here is the speedohealer mounted under the seat.

Here is the USB cable just hanging out.
